We are an academic project studying large aggregate datasets to produce country-level estimates of gender inequality in technology access.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
We do not currently collect any data from visitors to our site.
Default wordpress cookies may be set in your browser but they are not used by us to store or collect any data. Note that as with all cookies third-parties may be able to read them and their contents but there should not be any personal data in cookies from our site.
Embedded content from other websites
Our site currently has no embedded content so other sites should not be able to track your visit here.
We use google analytics for traffic analysis. Our site uses the https://www.monsterinsights.com EU compliance plugin to anonymise all tracking data before it is shared with google, ensuring that we do not collect, store or share any personal data via our analytics.
Facebook advertising data
We collect aggregate, anonymous counts of Facebook users from the Facebook Marketing API. We receive only an aggregate counts of users and we do not process or store any individual user identifiers.
This data is then processed and combined with other data and used as inputs in our prediction models to generate the gender gap estimates presented. All visualisations and estimates generated as a part of the project is shared freely for academic, research and informational purposes only. No commercial use is permitted.

What rights you have over your data
If we held any of your personal data, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
